The HK USC features a hooded front sight, aperture or notch rear sight, grey or black polymer furniture, a thumb safety, left-side charging handle above the forearm, and a bolt catch on the left. It's a simple flat black triangular blade protected by the also-plastic loop. The rear sight is elevation and windage adjustable with a hex key, and has a standard-bladed notch or a flip up fairly wide aperture sight. The blade is better for accuracy work, but nothing beats that aperture for fast work, especially in low light.

I purchased this firearm for fun on the range, students and friends alike love the carbine. This is a very accurate firearm! 100yards is a walk in the park. On a 7,8,9,10-bullseye target expect at least a 9 when you get use to the punch. The standard HK45 has a 4.47-inch barrel, whereas the extended threaded barrel on the HK Tactical was 5.11 inches long. I know there are a number of people who will buy this pistol who don't have any plans to thread a suppressor on the end of it, so I'm a bit surprised HK doesn't sell it with a screw-on thread protector.
